An earthing plate buried today must still be conducting fault current twenty years from now, which is why purity and mass matter more here than in almost any other copper product. Our plates carry 99.9%+ purity in ETP grade, giving earthing pits, electroplating anodes and chemical equipment the long, predictable service life engineers design around.
For applications involving welding or hydrogen atmospheres — vacuum equipment, RF shielding enclosures, brazed heat exchanger plates — specify oxygen-free (OF) grade, which eliminates the embrittlement risk that ETP carries in those specific conditions. Thicknesses from 3mm to 25mm are available with purity certificates for tender and inspection files.
