Steel chequer plate grips well — until it rusts, flakes and becomes the very slip hazard it was fitted to prevent. Aluminium checker sheet keeps its raised five-bar or diamond pattern sharp for the life of the installation because the material simply cannot rust. Truck bodies, ramps and walkway panels stay bright, grippy and presentable with zero painting.
At half the weight of the equivalent steel plate, checker sheet also cuts payload penalty on vehicle bodies — a real running-cost saving over a truck's life. Thicknesses from 2mm for wall protection and toolboxes up to 6mm for heavy flooring are in stock, and every sheet cuts, folds and drills with ordinary workshop tools.
