Precision hex bars measured across flats — free-machining 2011 for high-speed traub production and 6061 for structural fasteners and fittings.

Hex bar exists to make hex-shaped parts without milling flats — every nut, standoff and fitting starts with its final outer form already in place. Our bars are drawn straight and burr-free with the across-flats dimension held tight, so collets grip evenly and parts index correctly on multi-spindle and traub machines.

For high-volume turned production, free-machining alloy 2011 is the clear winner: chips break short, cycle times drop and surface finish comes off the tool bright. Where the fastener or fitting carries structural load or will be welded, specify 6061 instead. Across-flats sizes from 8mm to 70mm are stocked in Ahmedabad for immediate dispatch.
