Aluminium Square Rod
Solid square bars with true faces and sharp corners — ready milling blanks for machined blocks, brackets, mould components and robotics parts.
When a rectangular component is milled from solid, starting with an accurate square blank saves the first machining operation entirely. Our square rods are extruded with faces flat and corners sharp, so the vice grips true and datum faces need only a skim cut. Chips clear cleanly and the material machines dry or with minimal coolant.
Sections from 10×10mm up to 100×100mm cover small standoffs through to substantial fixture bases. 6061 is the standard pick for machined blocks and structural brackets thanks to its strength-machinability balance; use 6063 when the finished part will be anodised for appearance. Bars are cut to blank length in-house so material waste stays at your machine, not in your store.
